God keeps a father secure when he puts the Lord first in his life

What kind of relationship do you want to have with Jesus? If your answer is a close relationship, then you must put Him first in your life. God does not wish to be second, third, or last; He wants to be the number-one priority in your life. When the Lord is first in your life, you will instinctively bring your burdens to Him and discover His peace. When He is first, the Spirit will guide you and protect you as you face trials and temptations. God gives you this promise when you put Him first in your life:
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.
I will love thee, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
