God listens to a father’s prayer when he confesses sin and seeks forgiveness

Sin blocks your fellowship with the Lord, and it keeps you from experiencing God’s goodness. But when you’re mired in sin, how do you regain your communion with God?
David wrote:
Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
As long as he had not repented from his sin, David knew that he could not enjoy the fullness of God’s presence. The same is true for you if you are carrying a sin that you need to take to the Lord. Turn to God in prayer, asking Him to apply His forgiveness to your life so that you can receive His mercy. He loves you and wants you to enjoy fellowship with Him.
Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no guile… I acknowledged my sin unto thee, And mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; And thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah… Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; Thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.
