God listens to a father’s prayer when he asks for guidance

God has given you the Holy Spirit so that He can guide you in every area of your life. With the Spirit’s help, you become a better father, husband, and witness for His glory. But in order to receive His blessings of wisdom, you must come to the Lord and be willing to learn from Him. The more you seek His wisdom, the more He generously provides. And when you place your faith in the Lord, He comes into your heart, and through the Spirit, He sets you free from the bondage of sin, the sting of death, and your futile attempts to become righteous by your own efforts. If you ask, God will continue to transform your life.
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
